Corporate culture can be difficult to change, but understanding the five S’s – sort, sequence, shine, standardize and sustain – can help with this process by improving operations and achieving buy-in with the people doing the work, said Dr John Carrier, Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School. He spoke on a panel session, “Winning in Times of Change,” at the 2019 IADC Advanced Rig Technology Conference in Amsterdam.
