Video: Gene Facey receives IADC Exemplary Service Award

Gene Facey, a passionate volunteer and representative of the offshore drilling industry, recently was recognized with an IADC Exemplary Service Award. Stephen Colville, IADC President & CEO, presented the award to Mr Facey on 16 September to recognize his commitment to improve the drilling industry. Mr Facey’s career in the oil and gas industry began with Texaco in 1969, and he worked for several companies, including Transocean and Ensco, before retiring in 2003. He has represented the offshore drilling industry on the US Coast Guard’s National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee (NOSAC) since 2003.
