Big Data, machine learning help to optimize connection makeup process
There are five V’s when it comes to Big Data: volume, velocity, variety, veracity and value. In this video with Robert Thibodeaux, VP of Technology Development for Frank’s International, at the 2019 IADC International Deepwater Drilling Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 20 March, he explains what each V means in relation to Big Data, as well as a real-world application of the five V’s in the connection makeup process. Mr Thibodeaux also discusses the company’s iCAM application, which incorporates both a rules-based approach and machine learning to analyze connection makeup. Watch the video for more information.
