Baker Hughes on-command digital reamer gives real-time control to operators

Baker Hughes commercially launched its GaugePro Echo on-command digital reamer at the 2015 OTC. The bi-directional digital reaming tool negates challenges that are common to hybrid or mechanical reaming operations by providing real-time control to operators, according to Baker Hughes. The new reamer can digitally confirm activation and deactivation, typically requiring only eight minutes each cycle.
