IADC seeks to bridge learning gaps with development of KREW program
Loss of knowledge over time presents challenges to an organization’s workforce and to employees’ ability to do their jobs. To address this issue within the drilling industry, IADC is developing the Knowledge Retention and Education for our Workforce (KREW) program, which is designed to help close gaps in an individual’s well control knowledge. Based on the gaps that are identified, KREW will recommend learning modules for individual students, said Gerardo Barrera, IADC Program Manager, at the 2019 IADC Drilling HSET Europe Conference in Amsterdam. In this video with DC, Mr Barrera explains the goals of the program, as well as the analytics and independent research that led to the development of KREW. Watch the video for more information.
