PETEX now offers e-Learning and Video-on-Demand products
The University of Texas – Petroleum Extension Service (PETEX) has launched new e-Learning and Video-on-Demand (VOD) products to offer instant access to industry-validated.
In January, 2010, PETEX launched its e-Book series. 45 of its more than 100 print books are available electronically. These e-Learning products offer full-color animations, quizzes to verify learning, and audio-enhanced glossaries. Many e-Learning products being created will be sold as one-topic, stand-alone modules for customers wishing specific pieces of training, rather than traditional, full classroom coursework. Additionally, the e-Learning modules can prepare students for classroom training by providing baseline information in advance. Online records and certificates of completion are available in the PETEX learning management system. PETEX is introducing four e-Learning modules, with plans 27 more by the end of 2010. Please CTRL + click on each thumbnail photo to preview and find more about the four e-learning products from PETEX.
In addition to educational DVDs, PETEX now offers the same video content on. Videos can be streamed directly from the PETEX website to the user’s desktop. Initially, PETEX VOD products are closed-captioned in English, and captioning in other languages will be offered in the future.
