Baker Hughes launches constant-rheology NSURE oil-based drilling fluid

Baker Hughes recently launched the NSURE oil-based drilling fluid that can be used in high-risk environments such as Norway, the UK, the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa. In this exclusive video from the 2014 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Brian Teutsch, Product Line Director, Drilling and Completion Fluids for Baker Hughes, talks about the fluid’s constant rheology profile, which ensures it does not get thick in cold temperatures. The company is evaluating field trial candidates and expects to be ready for full deployment in the fall.
