IPTC 2013 to feature CEO talks, address global energy demand
The 6th annual International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), a multidisciplinary technical event hosted by China National Petroleum Corp and Exxon Mobil Corp and endorsed by IADC, will take place from 26-28 March 2013.

For the first time, the conference will feature a CEO plenary session for senior industry executives to discuss the conference theme “Challenging Technology and Economic Limits to Meet the Global Energy Demand” and provide conference delegates with an over-arching perspective of the industry. Confirmed participating industry leaders for the session on Tuesday, 26 March, include: Zhou Jiping, president, CNPC, and vice chairman and president, PetroChina; Peter Voser, CEO, Royal Dutch Shell; Khalid Al Falih, CEO & president, Saudi Aramco; Martin Craighead, president & CEO, Baker Hughes; and Peter Coleman, CEO & managing director, Woodside Energy. The CEO plenary session will be moderated by Mark Albers, senior vice president, Exxon Mobil Corp.
Approximately 2,195 abstracts representing 302 organizations from 53 countries were submitted for the technical program. Over 5,000 industry leaders and technical professionals from around the globe are expected to attend the event in China at the Beijing International Convention Center.
