Shale Support opens new Louisiana rail terminal

Shale Support Holdings, a provider of frac-sands and logistical solutions to the oil and gas proppant market, announced its newest exclusive terminal located in Gibsland, La.

The terminal boasts 24/7 operations, 100 car capacity, easy access to major highways, onsite space to store containerized sand boxes, and room to add future storage capabilities.

“Our newest exclusive terminal strengthens our logistical offerings helping us meet our customers’ distribution and storage needs,” Jeff Bartlam, President and co-founder of Shale Support, said. “We’re thrilled to partner with Prairie Transportation, a company with more than 75 years of experience in the industry, to offer our customers streamlined and cost-effective service.”

Shale Support is strategically aligned with key destination terminals that serve the Marcellus, Utica, Haynesville, Tuscaloosa, Mid-Con, Permian and Eagle Ford shale basins. The company has the flexibility to ship proppant via rail, road and barge.
