Revitalized IADC Southeast Asia Chapter unites companies to address regional issues
The IADC Southeast Asia Chapter hosted its first meeting on 24 August after being dormant for more than five years. The need to address regional issues as a cohesive group catalyzed the revitalization of the chapter, Chapter Chairman Glenn Gipson said. In the above video, Mr Gipson, Regional Vice President – Australasia for Diamond Offshore Drilling, gives a recap of the meeting and explains how the chapter is valuable to the region as it expands operations.
In this video, DC speaks with Manav Kumar, Vice Chairman of the Chapter and Director at Dynamic Drilling Holdco, and Graham Buchan, Secretary/Treasurer of the Chapter and Account Manager for Halliburton. These chapter officers discuss how the group will tailor initiatives to meet regional needs and support IADC member companies. “IADC is a 74-year-old institution,” Mr Buchan noted. “Members get to have knowledge about best practices from around the world and a network to support them in various areas.”
Chapter officers are tentatively planning the next meeting for November in Jakarta, Indonesia.
