Lessons learned to help improve adoption of tripping process automation version 2.0
The drilling industry first tried to adopt tripping process automation eight to 10 years ago, without success. Now, version 2.0 is being launched, and National Oilwell Varco (NOV) is armed with lessons learned from the previous attempt, said Tom Yost, Director Business and Technology Development – Rig Systems, for NOV.
