Kolibri’s Clifton Mack wells flow back more fluid with new fracture design

Kolibri Global’s three Clifton Mack wells in the Tishomingo field in Oklahoma reached combined production of about 2,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) after about three weeks of flowing back fracture stimulation fluid. The total includes about 925 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and is up about 55% from the prior week. Kolibri holds working interests of 97.45% to 99.03% in the wells.

The new fracture stimulation design has made the wells flow back differently from the company’s earlier Caney wells, with much more fluid recovered in the first three weeks. Two of the wells have recovered just over 15% of the fluid and the third just over 7%. The different flowback has delayed peak oil and gas rates, and the rate of increase has slowed in recent days. Kolibri expects the wells to keep cleaning up and improving.

Kolibri also fracture stimulated the Lovina 5-8-1HF well using the same design. Flowback is expected to start early next week once the fracture stimulation plugs are drilled out. The well is the company’s first False Caney test, and success could prove up a new bench and add drilling locations not currently booked.
