Digital twins help to address the relationship of data within a system
Industry interest in digital twins – the virtual representation of an asset, system or process – continues to grow, not just as a tool for modeling an asset but for managing systems of data and how they relate to one another. These “twins” also help keep the relationship between data over a system, helping them stay connected to each other. In this video from a 4 March workshop held jointly by the IADC Advanced Rig Technology Committee and the SPE Drilling Systems Automation Technical Section (DSATS) in The Hague, Sean McKenna, Senior Research Manager with IBM, discusses recent applications of digital twins and explains how knowledge graphs work.
