Maersk Deliverer to drill in Gulf of Guinea

Maersk Drilling has signed a contract with African Petroleum Corp for a two-well program to be conducted by the Maersk Deliverer ultra-deepwater semisubmersible in the Gulf of Guinea. The program will begin in Q2 2011 in continuation of another assignment in West Africa. The Maersk Deliverer is the third in a series of three newbuild ultra-deepwater development semisubmersibles in the Maersk fleet. The rig was delivered earlier this year and recently arrived offshore West Africa.
