The committed utilization for jackups – encompassing rigs that are either already contracted or have a commitment to work – stood at 88% as of September 2025, down from 94% two years ago, according to Westwood Global Energy Group. High-spec jackups, however, are faring better, with utilization still hovering around 92%.
