ADES books Indonesia contract, one-year Angola extension for Shelf Drilling jackups

ADES secured new work for two jackups from its Shelf Drilling fleet, signing the Shelf Drilling Perseverance to PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) in Indonesia and receiving notice that a major international oil company exercised a one-year option on the Shelf Drilling Tenacious in Angola.
The PHM contract is the first between the two companies and has a 406-day firm period and a 30-day option. The Shelf Drilling Perseverance, a 2008-built Friede & Goldman JU-2000E jackup rated for 400 ft of water, is set to start work around the end of December 2026 after it completes its current short-term campaign in the region.
In Angola, the option continues directly from the Shelf Drilling Tenacious’ firm contract, which expires in Q1 2027. The 2007-built BMC Pacific Class 375 jackup has worked offshore Angola since January 2022. ADES completed its acquisition of Shelf Drilling in November 2025.
