Diamond Offshore launches new Stack-View service
Diamond Offshore Drilling has launched its Stack-View service, a solution that applies 24/7 real-time monitoring, data visualization and advanced analytics to identify trends and detect anomalies in BOP performance across its rig fleet. The leading indicators derived from the service will enable predictive maintenance and subsea downtime prevention.
The real-time data gathered and analyzed by the underlying technology in Stack-View is continuously overlaid or “stacked” with historical data. Then, data visualization, trending and advanced analytics are applied to predict when BOP components will fail or when maintenance is required. This shift to predictive maintenance mitigates stack pulls and maintenance-induced issues, with the ability to reduce nonproductive time by up to 50%.
Developed with Deepwater Subsea, the Stack-View platform and dashboards will be accessible from any mobile device or computer by early 2020.
Weir introduces new continuous duty pump
Weir Oil & Gas has launched the SPM Quintuplex Extended Max (QEM) 5000 E-Frac Pump. It is the only true continuous-duty electric or gas turbine-capable 5,000-hp pump in production, according to the company. The pump was designed for electric or gas turbine and 5,000-hp capacity in a single unit, rated for service at 100% of rod load, 24 hours a day. It can reduce a frac fleet from 20 conventional pumps and 100 bores per site to just eight pumps and 40 bores per site. Only eight SPM QEM 5000 E-Frac Pumps are needed to match the output of 20 conventional pumps, according to Weir.
Real-time fluid tracking technology launched
Deep Imaging has launched a technology for tracking fluid in real time as it’s pumped through the wellbore and out to the fracture tips during a completion job. It allows operators to validate models and successful stages while identifying, fixing or avoiding problem stages. Additionally, they can determine which downhole products and strategies are causing problems.
New software platform targets frac optimization
Corva has launched a frac optimization platform that provides real-time insights.
