US land drilling contractors added nearly 100 rigs in a five-week period

This week, the US land rig count rose by 13, from 717 to 730, according to the weekly Baker Hughes rig count. Over the last five weeks, 96 rigs have gone to work in the US onshore market. The land rig count has increased 95% since it bottomed out in May 2016.
