Zion completes horizontal section at Megiddo-Jezreel #2 well

Zion Oil & Gas finished drilling and casing the horizontal section of its Megiddo-Jezreel #2 (MJ-02) well onshore Israel, reaching the planned lateral target.

The company will begin the stimulation, testing and completion phase of the well. Equipment needed for the stimulation program is being shipped to Israel, and a small crew will remain onsite at MJ-02 to monitor the well during the interim period.

The MJ-02 well is located under Zion’s Megiddo Valleys License 434, which covers approximately 75,000 acres onshore Israel. The company re-entered the well in June 2026 to begin the horizontal sidetrack after recommissioning its drilling rig, which was renamed JB-1 in honor of Zion founder John Brown.
