Sable adds four perforation jobs at Platform Hondo ahead of Q4 restart

Sable Offshore completed reconstruction and internal operational commissioning at Platform Hondo in the Santa Ynez Unit off California and plans to accelerate four more perforation addition operations before the platform restarts in Q4 2026.

The added work would bring completed Perf Adds to nine of Platform Hondo’s 15 production wells before restart, up from the five previously expected. Each operation is estimated to add about 600 barrels of oil per day of incremental production to base well output.

Sable expects final review and approval from the Marine Minerals Administration of the platform’s instrumentation, control and safety commissioning submission in October. Instrumentation, controls and additional safety testing and commissioning are also scheduled for that month.
