Fluid-efficient dissolvable frac plug decreases water costs, increases flowback

Halliburton recently launched the Illusion Spire, which the company calls the industry’s first fluid-efficient dissolvable frac plug, offering a larger internal diameter and less mass for greater efficiency. The company also designed the plug with a water-saving element for reduced completion time, said Zach Walton, Product Champion for Halliburton. In this video, Mr Walton speaks with DC at the 2019 Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference in The Woodlands, Texas, about how the plug’s fluid efficiency benefits operators, as well as results seen across North American applications.
