Kosmos continues Jubilee drilling campaign with J76, J77 wells

Kosmos Energy completed the J76 well, the third of its 2026 drilling campaign at the Jubilee field offshore Ghana, bringing it online in mid-June, two weeks later than initially planned.

Initial production rates were strong, with the well contributing approximately 20,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) to gross production. Jubilee production in the second quarter of 2026 averaged approximately 72,000 bopd, with an exit rate above 85,000 bopd.

The next well, J77, has been completed and is expected online imminently, which is expected to take gross Jubilee production to approximately 90,000 bopd. The final producer well, J50, a completion of a previously drilled well, is expected online around the end of July. A water injector well is expected online around the end of the third quarter to prepare the northeastern area of Jubilee for the 2027 and 2028 drilling programs.
