Invictus readies Musuma-1 for rig-up after Rig 202 relocation

Invictus Energy completed the move of Exalo Rig 202 to the Musuma-1 exploration wellsite in the Cabora Bassa Project in Zimbabwe, where it holds an 80% operated interest. The rig was relocated from the Mukuyu-2 wellsite after wellpad construction, civil works and access road upgrades were finished.
Exalo will now rig up the unit and complete its remaining maintenance program while the remaining well services equipment is mobilized, ahead of final rig inspection and acceptance. Invictus is working with Exalo, SLB and its other drilling and logistics contractors on operational readiness, and Musuma-1 remains on schedule to spud in November.
Musuma-1 will test a gas-condensate prospect identified through seismic interpretation, including a direct hydrocarbon indicator supported by a laterally extensive flat spot. The vertical well is planned to reach a total depth of about 1,500 m. The prospect has estimated gross mean unrisked prospective resources of about 1.2 tcf of gas and 73 million bbl of condensate.
