Innovex completes acquisition of downhole tool maker Drilling Innovative Solutions

Innovex International completed its acquisition of Drilling Innovative Solutions (DIS), a Louisiana-based manufacturer of downhole cementing and float equipment founded in 2013.

DIS’s product line includes the Sentinel and Defender float valves and the Gatekeeper Cement Retaining Collar, the latter designed as an alternative to conventional packer and bridge plug cement retainers. Innovex said the acquisition expands its portfolio of high-impact, lower-cost technologies and plans to deploy DIS products across its global platform, building on the acquired company’s existing operator base in the US Gulf.
