Halliburton wins integrated drilling and evaluation contract for BP’s Bumerangue appraisal

Halliburton received an integrated contract from BP for the first appraisal campaign in the Bumerangue field, offshore deepwater Brazil.

The contract covers a package of drilling and reservoir evaluation services intended to support BP’s appraisal of the Bumerangue discovery in the Santos Basin. Halliburton will apply its drilling and evaluation portfolio to the program, with the company’s LOGIX automation and remote operations platform deployed as part of the execution model.

Halliburton has been active elsewhere in Brazil’s pre-salt Santos Basin, including a separate integrated well construction contract with Shell for the Gato do Mato field.
