ExxonMobil expands FlexRobotics rig-floor automation on H&P rigs

H&P and ExxonMobil expanded their deployment of H&P’s FlexRobotics technology, building on the first two systems already operating on H&P rigs. H&P expects to deploy seven additional FlexRobotics systems for ExxonMobil over the next 12 months, bringing the total number of systems operating to nine.

FlexRobotics automates repetitive rig-floor activities, reducing personnel exposure to higher-risk tasks while improving consistency, precision and operational efficiency. The expansion supports ExxonMobil’s broader efforts to deploy advanced technologies across its drilling operations, with a focus on safety, operational performance and drilling automation.
