Expro wins North Sea P&A contract

Expro was awarded a contract by an undisclosed UK operator to support a plug and abandonment campaign across a portfolio of mature subsea wells in the North Sea. The contract covers six firm wells, with a further six optional wells.

Expro will provide its 7-3/8-in. large bore Subsea Test Tree Assembly safety system, which offers dual barrier protection and disconnect capability to support safe and efficient P&A operations across the well portfolio.

Carole Paley, Expro’s UK managing director, said the company’s experience with North Sea wells and local resources would help deliver cost efficiencies as the client’s abandonment campaign progresses over the coming year.
