Georgina orders Cactus wellheads, calls Ensign 970 rig to Hussar

Georgina Energy placed an order with Cactus Wellhead for wellhead equipment for its planned drilling program at the Hussar prospect in EP513, onshore Western Australia, and notified Ensign to mobilize the contracted Ensign 970 rig.

Civil engineering and site preparation at Hussar are complete, contractors have demobilized and security fencing is installed. Access routes for heavy equipment are still being assessed, and weather-related road restrictions are being managed. Light vehicles currently reach the site from the Gunbarrel Highway via the Eagle Highway, on roads administered by Wiluna Shire Council.

Georgina has not announced a revised spud date. Applications for a seismic program are pending with the Western Australia Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration, and the budget is being finalized for funding by Harlequin Energy.
