Energy Drilling lands Phase 7 drilling work for T-16 in Malaysia

Energy Drilling received a letter of award from Carigali-PTTEPI (CPOC) for a 30-month offshore campaign with its tender-assist drilling rig T-16 in Malaysia. The award includes options for up to 15 additional months.
The work covers Phase 7 of CPOC’s development campaign in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area. T-16 is completing Phase 6 of the same campaign, with a firm term through December 2026 and options for further extensions. That campaign is expected to conclude in Q1 2027, and Phase 7 is expected to begin early in Q3 2027.
After the current campaign, T-16 will demobilize to Singapore, where it will be kept with reduced crewing and operating costs until the new campaign starts.
