Appalachian STEPS Network builds regional partnerships to expand safety education

In this video interview with DC taken from the IADC Appalachian Basin Technical Forum in Canonsburg, Penn., on 22 October, Donnie Lindsey, President of the Appalachian STEPS Network, discussed the organization’s safety mission. Its main goal, he said, is to connect operators and drilling contractors in the Appalachian region through panel discussions and incident shares, educating them on a broad range of safety topics. Through its connection with the national STEPS Network, which maintains alliances with OSHA and NIOSH, the Appalachian organization provides access to initiatives like the development of safety alerts and incident-sharing methodologies.
