RigCo, Seatrium resume construction of drillship, jackup and two semisubmersibles

RigCo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel, agreed with Seatrium on 26 October 2026 to complete construction of four offshore rigs under an existing master services arrangement. The estimated total contract value is more than S$500 million. The rigs are a premium seventh-generation drillship, a harsh-environment jackup and two semisubmersibles designed for the harsh conditions in Northwest Europe.

The drillship is expected to be delivered to RigCo in 2027 and the jackup in 2028. Construction plans for the two semisubmersibles are still being assessed. RigCo already operates six modern jackups that were delivered and leased to customers beginning in 2022.
