OGDCL brings Bitrism East-1 gas-condensate well onstream in Sindh

Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDCL) brought its Bitrism East-1 exploration well onstream in Khairpur District, Sindh province, flowing 7.0 mcf/d of gas and 200 barrels of condensate per day from the Basal Sands. Production is expected to ramp up progressively as the well flow stabilizes.

OGDCL used in-house resources to lay an approximately 28-km, 8-in. flowline connecting the well to the Sinjhoro Plant for processing. The processed gas is being supplied to the Sui Southern Gas (SSGCL) network.

The well was announced as a gas-condensate discovery in the Lower Goru Formation (Massive and Basal Sands) on 1 October 2025. OGDCL operates the Bitrism Exploration License with a 77.5% working interest, and Government Holdings (Private) Limited holds the remaining 22.5%.
