TAG Oil’s T-200 well reaches Abu Roash F reservoir in Egypt

TAG Oil drilled its T-200 vertical well to 4,102 meters at the Badr oil field (BED-1) in Egypt’s Western Desert, intersecting the top of the targeted Abu Roash F reservoir at 4,100 m in line with the geological forecast.

The company will run a 7-in. liner, after which drilling will resume through the full Abu Roash F section to a projected total depth of about 4,200 m. TAG Oil spudded the well on 6 August 2026.

Completion and testing will begin once the well reaches total depth, with initial production test results expected in late October 2026.
