SSV Catarina work extends into December with extra Indonesia well

Ventura Offshore signed a contract amendment adding the JKNE Upside-1 Dir well to the drilling program for its SSV Catarina semisubmersible in Indonesia. The customers are Searah West Ganal and Searah Ganal Deepwater, both subsidiaries of Searah, the joint venture between Eni and PETRONAS.

The well comes on top of the four optional wells already exercised under the rig’s existing contract. The added scope is expected to keep the SSV Catarina working into December 2026.

The SSV Catarina began its current Indonesia program in August 2024 under a firm four-well contract with Eni. Before this amendment, the rig’s work was expected to run into the fourth quarter of 2026. Ventura Offshore also owns the SSV Victoria semisubmersible and the DS Carolina drillship, which work offshore Brazil.
