Cardwell rig released after Horizon completes L7 workover

Horizon Petroleum’s wholly owned Polish subsidiary Energia Karpaty Zachodnie completed perforation operations and installed a new completion assembly at the Lachowice 7 well in southern Poland, advancing the well toward acid stimulation and production testing.

The Cardwell KM-200C rig was released 11 September 2026 after perforating 35 m of reservoir across a 58-me interval, including about 14 m that had not previously been perforated when the well was originally completed in 1999. Wellbore image logs indicated intense natural fracturing and open fractures throughout the interval, with losses of approximately 3,500 barrels of completion fluid and gas kicks recorded during the workover.

Exalo is expected to mobilize rigless stimulation and testing equipment to the site around 18 September, with diverted acid stimulation and production testing set to begin around 23 September. L7 previously tested at rates up to 8,900 mcf/d in 1999, including a sustained flow of approximately 3,000 mcf/d over a two-week period.
