Northern Ocean secures contract extension for Deepsea Bollsta

Northern Ocean has announced a five-month contract extension from Equinor for the Deepsea Bollsta semisubmersible, which continues drilling operations on the Johan Sverdrup field offshore Norway.

The extension follows the rig’s initial two-year firm term and will allow completion of an eight-well program for the Johan Sverdrup Unit. The contract also retains five one-year options for Equinor after the current term.
