IADC Board of Directors elects 2020 officers
Julie Robertson, Chair, Noble Corp
Ms Robertson has 40 years of experience in the drilling industry and was named Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Noble Corp in January 2018. Previously, she served as Executive VP from February 2006 and as Senior VP – Administration from July 2001 to February 2006. Ms Robertson also served as Corporate Secretary from December 1993 until 2018.
She holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard School of Business.
Robert H. “Bob” Geddes, Vice Chair, Ensign
Mr Geddes has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Ensign since 2007. He acted as VP Canadian Drilling from 1999 to 2004 and President Canadian Operations from 2004 to 2006.
He is a past Chairman of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors and holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta.
Scott McReaken, Secretary/Treasurer, Northern Drilling Group
Mr McReaken was appointed CEO of Northern Drilling Group in December 2018. Prior to this appointment, he had been a part of the Seadrill group companies since 2012, where he served as CEO and Director of Sevan Drilling and Chief Financial Officer of North Atlantic Drilling.
Mr McReaken has more than 15 years of experience in the offshore drilling industry. He began his career at Arthur Andersen and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Lee Womble, Division VP Drilling Services, Cameron, a Schlumberger company
Mr Womble is VP of Sales for the Cameron Drilling Systems Product Line of Schlumberger. He joined Cameron in 1988 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr Womble has held numerous positions throughout his career, including Design Engineer, Repair and Sales Manager, Regional Manager, Director and VP since 2007.
Mr Womble received his registered Professional Engineer license from the state of Texas in 1993 and obtained his first patent in 1994.
Scott McKee, Division VP North America Onshore, Cactus Drilling Company
Mr McKee is VP for Marketing at Cactus Drilling Company. He began his oilfield career in 2004 and is a past Chairman of the IADC Oklahoma/Texas Panhandle Chapter. Mr McKee is a graduate of West Point and left active duty as a combat veteran and Army Captain. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association and the American Association of Drilling Engineers.
Roddie Mackenzie, Division VP Offshore, Transocean
Mr Mackenzie currently serves as Senior VP, Marketing, Innovation & Industry Relations at Transocean. Since starting his career at Transocean as a rig-based engineer in 1997, he has served in a variety of roles, including VP, Marketing and Contracts, Managing Director, Business Development and Strategic Accounts and Marketing Director.
Mr Mackenzie graduated from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Strathclyde in civil engineering with environmental studies.
Miguel Sanchez, Division VP International Onshore, Nabors Drilling International
Mr Sanchez is VP Operations, Latin America at Nabors Drilling International. He started his career with BP in Venezuela in 1997 as a commercial analyst and has since worked in a variety of roles for Key Energy Services, Saxon Energy Services, Parker Drilling and Weatherford Drilling International.
Mr Sanchez has a Bachelor’s in business administration from Florida International University; a Finance Graduate program from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela; and a Master’s degree from the Arthur D. Little School of Management.
Jason McFarland, President, IADC
Mr McFarland serves as IADC President. He previously held the dual positions of VP of Corporate Development and Chief of Staff. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston – Downtown Campus with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He has served in numerous capacities during his career at IADC, including management of the publications and membership departments.
