Smith Mason & Co looks to the future of well control training

Today’s drilling environment demands that training providers like Smith Mason & Co can understand, develop and deliver a true training partner relationship. This involves incorporating a continuous feedback loop into well control training to improve engagement with students, as well as conducting periodic audits/assessments. It is also important to ensure that courses don’t set out to only meet a minimum standard, said Marcus Mason, CEO of Smith Mason & Co, at the 2019 IADC Well Control Conference of the Americas in Galveston on 27 August.
