Well-Safe Solutions, NMC Energy expand alliance on North Sea decom work

Well-Safe Solutions signed a strategic partnership agreement with NMC Energy to support ongoing decommissioning operations, including the recently awarded Apache Beryl and Forties well decommissioning contracts, and to pursue future project collaboration.
The two companies will provide operators with subsea and platform interface services, including pipeline and flowline flushing, platform integration of decommissioning equipment such as modular platform rig solutions, Engineering Down and Clean (EDC), and topside preparation for heavy lift operations.
The partnership builds on the companies’ existing working relationship on Apache’s decommissioning of the Beryl and Forties fields, where NMC Energy was previously awarded a separate contract for integration, commissioning and topside decommissioning services. Well-Safe Solutions Chief Executive Officer Phil Milton said the strategic agreement was a natural progression, citing NMC Energy’s track record on the Apache work.
Well-Safe Solutions, a tier-one well decommissioning contractor, has led project management, well and subsurface engineering, and offshore delivery on the Beryl and Forties fields, which together encompass more than 260 wells. NMC Energy is a decommissioning specialist with offices in Aberdeen and the Netherlands, providing project management and integrated engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) solutions.
