Ventura expands managed fleet, secures PETRONAS drilling deal in Indonesia

Ventura Offshore agreed to provide marketing and operations management services for Eldorado Drilling’s Deep Value Driller and separately signed a one-well drilling contract with PETRONAS E&P Bobara offshore Indonesia.
The agreement with Eldorado Drilling covers the Deep Value Driller, a seventh-generation ultra-deepwater drillship, and expands Ventura Offshore’s managed fleet beyond the Atlantic Zonda, which the company already manages for Eldorado in Brazil. Ventura Offshore separately owns and operates the DS Carolina drillship and the SSV Victoria and SSV Catarina semisubmersible rigs.
The PETRONAS contract covers a one-well drilling program offshore Indonesia and adds to Ventura Offshore’s existing presence in the region, where the SSV Catarina is already under contract. PETRONAS E&P Bobara operates the Bobara production sharing contract off Papua Barat, in which PETRONAS holds a 51% interest alongside Pertamina and TotalEnergies.
