Touchstone schedules CR-3 workover as Cascadura compressor exceeds targets
Touchstone Exploration brought its Cascadura booster compressor online in Trinidad, delivering better than expected natural gas volumes as the company advanced several production optimization projects across its onshore blocks. The compressor was commissioned in late June 2026 and entered service 9 July, with field estimated gross natural gas production averaging approximately 16.5 MMcf/d despite the wells remaining choke restricted while flowing reservoir pressures are gradually reduced.
On the Central block, Touchstone completed the Baraka East 1 (BRE-1) gas and liquids recompletion in June, exceeding expectations with field estimated gross production of approximately 2.3 MMcf/d of natural gas and 72 bbl/d of liquids over the well’s first 30 days online.
At the nearby Carapal Ridge 3 (CR-3) well, the company has designed a coiled tubing cleanout and acid stimulation program to address a localized inflow restriction, and the local service provider has resolved earlier mechanical issues with its coiled tubing unit and is now function testing ahead of a scheduled late August workover.
Touchstone also continued preparations for its next WD-8 block development well, including construction of a drilling lease at Baraka.
