Tenaris launches TenarisHydril White connection for complex wells

Tenaris launched the TenarisHydril White premium threaded and coupled connection, designed for deepwater, high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT), horizontal and extended-reach wells. The connection is available in a wide range of sizes.

The slim-coupling design is meant to ease deployment in deviated wells and improve cementing efficiency. The company said the connection offers enhanced strength, sealability and torque capacity. It joins the TenarisHydril portfolio, and the Blue and Wedge series connections remain available.

Dopeless technology removes the need for field-applied thread compounds, which Tenaris said reduces preparation time and produces zero discharge. The connection is also designed for automated casing running, keeping personnel out of high-risk red zone areas on the rig floor.
