TAG Oil T-200 well reaches top of Abu Roash “F” reservoir in Egypt

TAG Oil took its T-200 vertical well at the Badr Oil Field (BED-1) in Egypt’s Western Desert to 4,102 m, intersecting the top of the targeted Abu Roash “F” (ARF) reservoir at 4,100 m. The result matched the geological forecast, and drilling costs remain in line with budget to date. The well was spudded on 6 August 2026.

The company will start running a 7-in. liner, after which drilling will resume through the entire ARF section to a projected total depth of about 4,200 m. Completion and testing operations will begin once the well reaches total depth.

Initial production test results are expected in late October 2026. TAG Oil will report further updates as drilling progresses and will announce results after completion and testing.
