Shelf Enterprise rig moves in for Wassana campaign

Valeura Energy accelerated the redevelopment of its Wassana field, on Block G10/48 in the Gulf of Thailand, moving up installation of a new central processing platform (CPP) by around two months.

The company finalized the commercial arrangements needed to begin CPP installation in October 2026, after mechanical completion of the facility in the fabrication yard is expected by 1 October 2026.

Valeura also notified its drilling contractor to begin the charter of the Shelf Enterprise rig on 1 November 2026, which will first drill additional wells at the Nong Yao A facility before moving to support earlier development drilling at Wassana.

First oil from the new CPP is now expected around the start of the second quarter of 2027, roughly two months ahead of the original schedule.
