Mosvold succeeds DuBroc as Scandrill president/COO

Mosvold-mugPaul Mosvold has succeeded Marty DuBroc as president and COO of Scandrill. Mr DuBroc, who has retired, will remain as executive consultant for one year. The company also announced that John Irby, VP operations, has retired after 34 years with Scandrill. He will remain as special project consultant for six months, and his responsibilities have been assumed by Neil Pierce, who has been with the company for 13 years as drilling superintendent.

“I would like to thank Marty for exceptional leadership and friendship for the 18 years I have been with the company,” Mr Mosvold said. “We have an excellent and experienced leadership team and the best employees in the industry, and I am excited about the future. I am honored to take over as the new president and COO. Going forward we will build upon the solid foundation that Marty DuBroc and John Irby established in a constant quest to create ‘The Drilling Contractor of Choice.’”

Mr DuBroc also commented: “I am very excited about the future of our company, and I am very confident in Paul’s ability and desire to lead Scandrill forward. I have witnessed his development over the past 18 years, and I am certain of his commitment to the employees of Scandrill… I am also very confident of Neil Pierce’s ability to assume John Irby’s role as VP operations, and I am very proud of Neil’s service to Scandrill. He, too, will be a superb leader.”

Scandrill currently operates 18 rigs in the East Texas, Louisiana and the Permian Basin area.
