Predator completes MOU-6 drilling in Morocco, gets Snowcap-3 approval in Trinidad

Predator Oil & Gas drilled the MOU-6 well in its Guercif license in Morocco to a planned total depth of 950 m within the 20-day guidance, penetrating a gross upper interval of 21.2 m in the TGB-6 Submarine Fan. The well encountered the top of the primary target 600 m northwest of MOU-3, where the same interval measured about 13.2 m. The thickening matches the pre-drill forecast based on 2D seismic inversion data and the depositional model for the fan across the area covered by the MOU-1 and MOU-3 wells.

The company acquired a wireline suite that included spectral gamma ray and formation microresistivity logs. Crews are completing the well to perforate the 21.2 m interval underbalanced at up to 150 psi using 4.5-in. tubing-conveyed perforating guns, and a single well test will begin shortly. Predator will integrate the results with existing data to update the biogenic gas potential of the area evaluated by MOU-1, MOU-3 and MOU-6.

Predator also signed a confidentiality agreement with Romania-based Geo Line Solution, which has experience in the producing biogenic gas fields of Romania and western Ukraine. The goal is to find analogues for calibrating the 800-1,100 m section penetrated in the three wells. Separately, Predator received regulatory approval to drill Snowcap-3 in the Cory Moruga license onshore Trinidad, with a timing update to follow once Moroccan operations finish.
