Oil India keeps Blackford Dolphin working through October

Dolphin Drilling extended the contract for its semisubmersible Blackford Dolphin with Oil India Limited to 15 October 2026. The extension will allow completion of drilling, testing and abandonment work at locations east of India, under the same terms and scope of work as the existing contract.

The 1974-built rig began its long-term exploration campaign with Oil India in November 2024 and has been extended several times since, most recently through the end of July and then through August 2026.
