Exclusive video: Great Wall Drilling’s strategy on global expansion

In an exclusive video shot during a recent trip to China, DC publisher and editor Mike Killalea details structural changes made to China National Petroleum Corp’s (CNPC) drilling and service subsidiaries. In addition, we hear from Xinfeng Hu, assistant president of CNPC subsidiary Great Wall Drilling, who addresses his company’s goal of offering international turnkey services. CNPC in 2008 reorganized its drilling and services wing into five land drilling contractors, a shallow-water offshore contractor, a mud-logging firm and a geophysical contractor. CNPC is accredited under the IADC WellCAP program for its international operations.
