Baker Hughes US land rig count sees largest increase since April 2014

The latest Baker Hughes rig count released 22 July indicates there are currently 440 land rigs working in the US, an increase of 18 over the company’s previous rig count released on 15 July. Week-over-week, it’s the largest increase for US land rigs since April 2014.

The US offshore rig count decreased from 22 to 19 in the company’s latest release. The count of rigs working in inland waters remained at three, the same from the previous US count.
