Amplitude readies Juliet well as East Coast Supply Project nears sanction

Amplitude Energy is preparing to drill the Juliet exploration well in the offshore Otway Basin, with the well imminent ahead of the planned Annie development well as part of the company’s East Coast Supply Project (ECSP).
Juliet, located in permit VIC/L24, carries an 84% chance of encountering hydrocarbons based on geophysical analysis, with a mean prospective resource of 48.8 Bcf gross (24.4 Bcf net to Amplitude’s 50% share). The company holds an option to drill a second exploration target, Nestor, later in 2026, subject to joint venture and board approval.
The Annie and Artisan discoveries underpin ECSP project economics, with Amplitude targeting a final investment decision on the development phase in Q1 FY27 and first gas in 2028. The company said foundation gas sales agreements with EnergyAustralia and AGL are conditional on minimum reserve bookings and field deliverability from the drilling phase, alongside FID.
